The Root Chakra Mala is the perfect mala for you if you are needing grounding energy and if you wish to build on the foundation for what you want to create in your life.  The root chakra is called Muladhara.  “Mula” means root or support and “adhara” means lower.  It is associated with the color red and it oozes passion, power and energy.  The root chakra represents your consciousness in its most concentrated form.  Because it is so dense, it is where your heaviest and most powerful emotions live.  If your root chakra is under-active you might feel like you are lacking energy.  If overactive your root chakra can create excess fire energy which can lead to rage, anger or jealousy.  When balanced, the root chakra will have you feeling secure within yourself and you will feel an overall sense of self-trust.
