The Solar Plexus Chakra is your central chakra and like the sun its fiery energy is the center of your personal power. Many people might think of the solar plexus chakra as the manifestation gateway in the body. The name of the solar plexus chakra is Manipura.  “Mani means jewel or gem and “pura” means dwelling place.  It is represented by a vibrant yellow color.  When under-active the solar plexus chakra may cause a feeling of anxiety, It may also cause you to feel general unhappiness and lack of confidence. When the solar plexus is overactive, it is a sign that your sense of self is out of alignment.  We often refer this to the ego taking control.  It can display of perfectionism, hyperactive and overly controlling.  When balanced, the solar plexus chakra allows you to draw on the powers of the sun to fuel you.  Self-reliance is a big theme for the solar plexus chakra.
